good position close to ruwi business and connercial centre, excellent gym
very old and in terrible shape, poor breakfast, telephone charges ridiculous (25 euro for 10 minutes to europe) interent very expensive, no air conditioning on floor corridors, dirty fitness areas (showers, jacuzzi, sauna)
Staff hospitality, clean and spacious rooms
Food was not so good especially the breakfast
Good Value for money.Great breakfast. Room furnished to a high order and spotlessly clean. Staff friendly and helpful.AC worked well. Tea and coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board all in rooom
Evening meal lacked imagination so only ate there once.Hotel is in an urban desert so own transport or taxi use essential. Large tour parties (mainly German) made hotel facilities overstretched on some days especially breakfast.
Friendly helpful staff great gym and pool facilities breakfast good quality
Easy access to Matrah Souq. Medium sized 3 star but clean with pleasant staff.
Room cleaning staff were very helpful but overloaded wth work missing one day and late on others.
they help us to find shops, restaurants outside hotel. also let me checking before noon too..
We were given a quiet room on the 6th non smoking floor and we had a panoramic view south across Muscat. The hotel has an outdoor pool which is quite adequate and is close to the old parts of Muscat with the souks and palace
The outdoor sunloungers are of the cheap plastic type
It is a decent family Hotel for short stays...
The courtesy of Omani staffs in the Hotel
The hotel is very old, needs a complete revamp. The size of the room is very small for the amount charged. The furniture in the room are very old. There is no feel good factor when staying in the hotel
This is a good and clean hotel with excellent housekeeping services. The staff were helpful and there is also adequate parking within the hotel complex.
The hotel should invest a bit in promoting the different facilities of the hotel i.e. during check-in, the staff should speak about the Japanese restaurant, pool timings, pastry shop etc.
The Japanese Restaurant on the top floor is excellent. Cheap internet access. Decent selection at breakfast. It is also centrally located for exploring old Muscat and beyond.
On our first night the noise from the pub "Nuts and Bolts" was horrendous with the Music booming right through the building. We were on the 4th floor and i would hate to think what it would have been like on a lower floor. This was a Thursday night (it went on until 3am) and thankfully we did not hear it again for the rest of our stay.
Quick check-in, comfortable bed, a very good Japanese restaurant.
Bathroom need some maintenance, AC system is very old and little noisy.
It was good value for money in the 3 star category. The pool was a nice surprise. Also, their policy toward children is very accommodative, so we were able to have our whole family (a 6 year old and two toddlers) stay in one room at only a minimal extra charge for the extra bed.
The hotel staff didn't have a very good idea of sights in Oman and could have been a little more friendly/helpful. City maps at reception or other tourist information would have been nice.
service was good acoording the Oman standard. People were very helpful. Unfortunately the overall image of the hotel was a little shabby. The new club (entrance from outside) looks very good but when I visited there was actually nobody inside. Maybe that will kick in after midnight.
When I arrived I immediately had to correct the receptionist. Apparently he was not looking at the reservations properly. The other reception staff (one apprentice and one Omani woman) were very helpful and friendly.Unfortunately there was no staff available for service at the swimming pool which on itself was very clean and nice.
This is a fairly good hotel with friendly staff, but lacks in restaurants and bars, only 2 restayrants and one of those is specialty Japanese, the other a ccombines buffet a la carte and not a great variety on the menu. 2 Bars one, one on the top floor which is more like a barn, open wide and empty and the other is a small almost cocktail bar but called a sports bar because they have 3 or 4 TV's showing football.
